We are pleased to announce the newest member of the Fujisan Marketing team, Samantha Pape. We sat down with Samantha to learn more about her background in digital marketing as well as her hobbies outside of the workplace.

Tell us about your Search Marketing background prior to joining Fujisan Marketing.

I’ve been operating in the search marketing realm for a little over 5 years now. I started off doing in-house marketing for a local company in Los Angeles, writing their blogs for SEO. My blogs landed me a role at another agency in DTLA, where I was given the opportunity to become the driving force behind their SEO and PPC campaign strategies.

Why do you love digital marketing?

What’s not to love? Taking a business that needs to grow and making it flourish is always a great feeling (and goes hand-in-hand with my plant hobby). Beyond that, I enjoy speaking with my clients and empowering them with the knowledge they need to make their digital marketing a success.

How do you feel about being a professional in our industry?

It’s exciting. When you work at an agency in the digital space, you are working in a constantly changing environment and learning about verticals you may not even know existed otherwise. Being in this field means that I will always be able to learn, grow and adapt without ever getting bored.

What are some hobbies that you really enjoy?

Plants and crafts. I have a little over 50 houseplants now, mostly acquired during quarantine. I’ve merged my two hobbies by buying terracotta pots and painting them with custom designs.

Where is your next big vacation?

New Zealand. I have had more than one LOTR Extended Edition marathon in my lifetime, and a visit to the Shire seems like a rite of passage at this point.
