Victor Madaris Jr - Associate SEM Client Manager

We are pleased to announce the newest member of the Fujisan Marketing team, Victor Madaris. We sat down with Victor to learn more about his background in digital marketing as well as his hobbies outside of the workplace.

Tell us about your Search Marketing background prior to joining Fujisan Marketing.

I started in search marketing in 2017 when I joined Dealer eProcess West in Everett as a SEM strategist.  I oversaw day-to-day performance on 70 Google and Bing accounts for automotive dealerships located within the U.S., most of which are in the PNW. During this time, I was tasked with creating, managing, and optimizing accounts. This included things such as setting up tracking, creating and editing ad copies, keyword bidding and optimization, RLSA and audience targeting, A/B testing, as well as creating and managing conversions to ensure optimized performance.

Why do you love digital marketing?

I love digital marketing because of how new it is and how you as a marketer must constantly change and adapt as the industry changes. While this can be frustrating at times, it’s something that’s fun to figure out.

With that being said, I believe digital marketing is more effective than traditional marketing, since you have full control of where your ads are being served. Unlike TV, radio, billboards, etc., where you’re blasting your message to everyone, digital marketing gives you the ability to choose and decide what’s best for your business objectives. Plus, it’s trackable so you can see what’s working and what’s not.

Finally, the reach you have online is something you don’t get in traditional media. There’s a saying that we’re all connected by 6 people or less, and with social media, it may be even less. Knowing this, your ad, post, article, etc. can be seen by almost everyone around the world.

How do you feel about being a young professional in our industry?

Being a young professional in the digital marketing industry is awesome. Most of the brands I advertise are brands I grew up with. Along with that, being young gives me different perspectives on ideas and trends, that others may not have, giving another dynamic to the teams I am a part of.

What are some hobbies that you really enjoy?

One of my favorite hobbies would have to be weightlifting. I love this because it’s what I consider meditation. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, being able to step into a gym, putting on your headphones and just getting all the stress out is really relaxing.

One other thing I enjoy is sleeping. Not sure if people consider this a hobby, but if I can get a good nap in on down days, that’s what I love.

Where is your next big vacation?

My next big vacation would be to Guam and South Korea next summer. My brother is graduating high school next year in Guam, and I have family in Korea that I want to visit again.
