We are pleased to announce the new Office Manager for our Fujisan Marketing team, Micaela Gonzales. We sat down with Micaela to learn more about her background in digital marketing as well as her hobbies outside of the workplace.
Tell us about your background prior to joining Fujisan Marketing?
I am originally from Texas but came over to Seattle so that I could attend Cornish College of the Arts. I graduated a year early in 2018 with a degree in Dance Performance and worked at a health clinic before this. I wanted to expand my knowledge and add more responsibility to my work load, and Fujisan Marketing was the perfect fit.
Why do you love working at a digital marketing agency?
Since I began working with Fujisan Marketing, I have learned so much. Digital marketing is something that people partake in everyday, but it is fascinating to see how it works behind the scenes. The team makes it look so easy, but I know how much hard work they do.
Who has influenced you the most when it comes to how you approach your work?
I know it may sound a bit cliché, but my parents have 100% influenced my work ethic. My dad has owned his own business for 37 years and my mother was one of the only female supervisors in her department. They have faced so much adversity in their careers, but still managed to do so well for themselves. My parents taught me that hard work truly does pay off and you should always push forward to keep doing the best that you can.
What are some hobbies that you really enjoy?
Besides dancing 24/7, I do a lot of yoga in my spare time. Usually I am able to get on my mat about 3-5 times a week. You can even catch me teaching a class every once in a while! Also, I am very into art history, so going to museums is something that I absolutely love to do.
Where is the next place you would like to travel to?
This is such a hard question for someone who loves to travel! However, if I had to choose, I would say that the Greek Islands are next on my list of destinations. I love going to places that are surrounded by large bodies of water.
